The 8th Annual Caselli MotoDoffo Event Raised Over $41K to Help Protect & Support the Lives of Off-Road Riders

TEMECULA, California (July 25, 2022) — On June 11th, The Kurt Caselli Foundation's 8th Annual Caselli MotoDoffo Winery event raised over $41,000 for its mission of Protecting and Supporting the Lives of Off-Road Riders

Outdoors, a live band played cover songs while attendees played lawn games, drank wine and beer, ate good food, and enjoyed an evening with friends supporting a good cause. Sponsors and industry friends of The Foundation donated over 40 fantastic prizes for the evening's raffle. This year's event had a silent auction that featured some very special Kurt Caselli items, such as his personal 2011 racing helmet in a glass display box, and Kurt Caselli's signed 2013 NHHA racing number. Other items included a signed Malcolm Smith Troy Lee Designs helmet, signed rider jerseys, Doffo Winery Cork N Torque tour for two, a day of adventure bike training, and more, and the auction was open to online bidding for the first time ever. Event proceeds are generated from the sales of event tickets, drinks, silent auction, raffle tickets, and merchandise; all of which help fund the KCF's annual $120,000 safety budget.

The Kurt Caselli Foundation Board of Directors and Advisors gathered on stage excited to share accomplishments and new initiatives the Foundation is working on. Since 2013, the Foundation has raised over $1.8 million! The KCF continues to look for opportunities to spend funds where it is most impactful for our community. Last year the KCF sweep/medic vests were introduced at the annual winery event, and since then, over 40 vests have been donated to off-road motorcycle sanctioning bodies and clubs. Over 25 races/series across the country work with TKCF on various levels of safety, from course markers to safety vehicles. Beginning last year, the Foundation started working with a new youth motocross series called Moto4Kids that offers year-round racing —The KCF made an informative safety video specifically for kids new to racing and learning what the flags mean. For 2022, the Foundation is planning Riders 1st Responders First Aid/CPR classes in Southern California. If you have a group of 25 people and you are interested in hosting a Riders 1st Responder class, please reach out to safety@kurtcaselli.com.

During the presentation, The KCF's President Donny Emler Jr. announced a new safety initiative that is in the initial planning phase; a mobile medical X-Ray machine for racers! The Foundation has been working with OXOS Medical about possibly purchasing a Micro C, the world's first handheld compact x-ray machine. It is a safe, fast and accurate imaging device that allows x-ray imaging at the point of care. The new technology was displayed at the event, and local OXOS representative Robert Dodson was on hand to talk about the technology, "This is a portable x-ray machine that has 5x less radiation than a normal x-ray." Advisor to the Foundation, Dr. Alexander was even able to demonstrate this machine in action. This technological advancement will allow racers and race staff to be evaluated by a medical professional on location and eliminate an ER visit for non-life threatening injuries.

This year's giveaway bike is a 2022 Factory KTM 500 XCF-W Baja race bike, generously donated by Brad Baker of CTG Federal. This unique, one-of-a-kind bike easily is one of the most incredible giveaway bikes we've ever seen! The bike was built inside Factory KTM with factory mechanics tending to the build that cost over $30,000 with the addition of several unique factory parts and tricks that you can't even buy! To enter to win, go to www.KurtCaselli.com/bike. Winners to be announced on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022. No presence necessary.
