Over $50,000 Raised At The 7th Annual Caselli MotoDoffo Winery Fundraising Event

The off-road community comes together to make off-road safer in honor of Kurt Caselli

MURRIETA, California (July 13, 2021) — The 7th Annual Kurt Caselli Foundation Benefit at Doffo Winery in Temecula Valley, California, was an evening to remember! With help from event sponsors and attendees, over $50,000 was raised for The Kurt Caselli Foundation (TKCF) and our mission of Protecting and Supporting the Lives of Off-Road Riders to improve off-road safety and provide educational scholarships. A big thanks goes out to event sponsors Doffo Winery & family, KTM USA, FMF Racing, GasGas USA, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, K&N Filters, Torco USA, Red Bull, 805 Beer and State of Ethos and event attendees for making this possible.

The Working Man Band opened the event up at 4:00pm with live music while 805 Beer and Doffo poured drinks and Fuego Y Sal and Tito’s Tacos served up delicious food. Guests were able to bid on artists’ renditions of Kurt and other images of off-road scenery in the State of Ethos silent auction art show. Red Bull Trials 10-time Champion Geoff Aaron had the crowd cheering during his two trials performances. The KCF booth was busy with guests checking out the new Caselli merchandise and purchasing raffle tickets. The barrel room hosted nearly 30 raffle prizes from event sponsors and supporters of The Kurt Caselli Foundation.

MC Laurette Nicoll welcomed The Kurt Caselli Foundation Board and advisors onto the stage. Safety advisors David and Rhiannon Kamo kicked off the presentation with a phone call to Steve Clark of MotoMedX to inform him and the event guests that the Foundation is proudly donating a Can-Am Defender to the Northern Nevada organization. This vehicle will operate as a TKCF Safety Vehicle for MotoMedX at the motorcycle races and events in their region. With safety at our forefront, we strive to make a difference in our community through various safety initiatives and creating off-road motorcycle safety products. One newest safety product introduced at the event is the Riders 1st Responders (R1R) Sweep Kit in partnership with WLF Enduro. The R1R Sweep kit will be available for purchase on our online shop in the coming year with two options; carry bag or wearable vest. The first 30 kits will be donated and distributed to sweep riders with a medic background to support off-road motorcycle events and race series.

For the 8th-consecutive year, the Foundation was able to award racers with a $2,500 scholarship. This year, six recipients were each awarded the Fall 2021 Kurt Caselli Scholarship. Sarah (Whitmore) Smage of Elkhorn, WI, Brittany Brooks of Alpine, CA, Ashlee Gage of Shoshone, ID, Grant Kawell of Crestline, CA, Justin Ferrari of Atascadero, CA, and Bobby Munro of Winter Park, FL. The Kurt Caselli Scholarship enables current or former off-road racers to further their education and reach career goals for themselves and their families. The application form will soon be open again for new applicants looking for support in the Spring 2022 semester.

A professional auctioneer ramped up the audience as the live auction began. The highest bidders took home prizes such as Kurt Caselli’s framed Dakar jersey, the Caselli MotoDoffo magnum wine bottle & original label artwork, a trophy truck ride with Cameron Steele, and more. In case you didn’t get a chance to make it out to the event, you still have a chance to snag some of the Caselli 66 red wine blend in Doffo's latest package that includes a limit edition 16x20 print of the label artwork, 2 split bottles (375mL) of the Caselli 66 wine, and 2 wine glasses etched with MotoDoffo and The Kurt Caselli Foundation logos. Only 66 of these art prints were produced and many are already gone. These packages are only available for purchase at the winery while supplies last.
